Essengen-6 Extra combines two FDA approved ingredients into one solution. It has 6% minoxidil and 0.3% finasteride. 

Minoxidil and Finasteride work synergistically to achieve the best hair regrowth: minoxidil stimulates hair to grow, while finasteride blocks the build-up of DHT in the hair follicles of the scalp to prevent further hair loss and allow the hair to grow normally. 

Two versions of Essengen-6 Extra: One with low amount of propylene glycol, and the other completely free of PG. Both options can be selected on this page.

Essengen-6 Extra is essentially Essengen-6 Plus but with an higher dose of finasteride. It is specifically designed for individuals who have already used Essengen-6 Plus for a minimum of 3 months without achieving satisfactory results or experiencing any side effects. Furthermore, Essengen-6 Extra is suitable for those who are presently utilizing a topical finasteride and minoxidil spray (with a composition of 0.3% finasteride and 6% minoxidil) from other brands.

Five pumps of the sprayer dispenses approximately 1ml of solution. However, we highly advise against using a sprayer and suggest using a dropper instead (which is included in the product), particularly if you have long or relatively dense hair. Spraying may lead to excessive solution being wasted on the hair instead of being delivered to the scalp.

1. Why do you offer this product while you have several other topical minoxidil finasteride products already?

 A: We have several products that have both minoxidil and finasteride, including  Essengen-6 Plus (6% minoxidil + 0.05% finasteride), Maxogen-X (7% minoxidil with 0.15% finasteride) and Dualgen-15 With PG Plus, Dualgen-15 NO PG Plus (15% minoxidil plus 0.1% finasteride). 

Essengen-6 Plus is the choice for anyone who never used but want to use a topical finasteride and minoxidil combo solution. Essengen-6 Extra is recommended for those who have already used Essengen-6 Plus for a minimum of 3 months without achieving satisfactory results or experiencing any side effects. Furthermore, Essengen-6 Extra is suitable for those who are presently utilizing a topical finasteride and minoxidil spray (with a composition of 0.3% finasteride and 6% minoxidil) from other brands.

2. How do I choose among your different minoxidil and finasteride products?

In a nutshell, 

If you want to be minimal and your hair loss is not very severe, choose Essengen-6 Plus.

If you want to use a product once a day, choose Maxogen-X or Essengen-6 Extra.

If you want to have maximum effectiveness, choose Dualgen-15 NO PG Plus or Dualgen-15 With PG Plus. 

If you just want to use product with finasteride and minoxidil but nothing else, try Essengen-6 Plus. If that is not strong enough, try Essengen-6 Extra.

4. Is this a finasteride and minoxidil spray solution?

 A: The product includes a dropper that allows you to apply the solution precisely to the desired areas. Additionally, you have the option to purchase a sprayer for an additional cost of $1, enabling you to utilize the solution through spraying, making it the identical to a 0.3% finasteride and 6% minoxidil spray solution you get it from other sources.

5. Which method is better for application: using a dropper or a sprayer?

 A: When it comes to the method of application, whether using a dropper or a sprayer, it is important to note that all of our topical solutions can be applied using a sprayer. Conversely, if you have purchased a spray solution from another source, it can be applied using a dropper as well. However, we believe that applying the solution with a dropper (aka, pipette) is superior for the following reasons:

   a. With a dropper, you can part your hair and directly apply the solution to your scalp, minimizing wastage on the hair that can occur when using a sprayer.

   b. A dropper allows for better volume control compared to a sprayer. The amount of solution delivered with each pump using a sprayer may vary, resulting in different total volumes even if the same number of pumps is used consistently.

   c. The sprayer head is more prone to malfunction than a dropper. The orifice of the sprayer can easily become clogged, leading to operational issues.

6. How soon can I expect to see results?

 A: Typically, it takes about 3 to 6 months to have noticeable hair regrowth. However, some individuals may start noticing improvements as early as 1.5 months. If you haven't noticed any improvement after 6 months, this particular product may not be suitable for you, and it is recommended to explore alternatives with different effective ingredients, such as FinoDuta.

7. Can you tell me the solvent composition of your product?

A. All the ingredients of both versions of Essengen-6 Extra are listed in the INGREDIENTS section. We can't give the ratio of the solvents as it is our trade secret.

We have done extensive experiments to optimize the solvent composition to ensure our products have the optimal absorption, usability and effectiveness.
